Team v Birmingham
I'm 5.5 hrs ahead of you guys and last night was boring.

We need a strong team out but a few youngsters for freshness.

Adrian: Needs a game

Johnson: Could be a risk but we need an option and Zab I feel could be knackered having come back from a fever coupled with only 2 days rest.

Diop: No other option unless Rice plays at the back but he needs a rest too.

Ogbonna: See Diop

Cresswell: Needs some experience.

Coventry: Again a risk but when do you play these youngsters ?he's been on the bench regularly now so not a novice to the team
Playing alongside Noble will help

Noble: Think he will have the desire for a cup run more than others and help the younger players .

Nasri: A debut,let's see his motivation,gives Anderson a break.

Antonio: Our best option on the right .

Arnautovic: On a high after his two goals and says he wants a cup run.

Silva: A debut start, his pace will cause problems. hopefully his scoring feats will continue.

Subs:
Trott: Spot on the bench will do him good.
Masuaka: An option at full back or left wing.
Obiang: Not seen that much action so should be suitably rested.
Diangana: Can play any of the forward roles.
Carroll: Better option of the bench than Perez.
Holland: Not seen any of him, hopefully get some minutes.
Pask: As Oxford is not rated we need another defender on the bench.

haven't got a clue, Obiang if he's out. Silva has to be allowed to start a game, I don't care what Carroll does now as long as he's gone by July

Re: Team v Birmingham
Is Holland okay?

I have not seen him in reserves (or whatever they are called now) lineups for a bit.

Also going by the managers comments, we will probably see Carroll.

Whatever, you want to throw out about modern footballers, I think is clear that Anderson needs a rest.

Put one of the kids on for him but keep him on the bench , if the rest of the team is basically first team, the emergency we need to bring him on for won't be that bad (famous last words)

Treat this game exactly like another league game but give Adrian a run out

Would have liked to give Rice a go at the back for this one but feel like it's a good time to give him a break as he has played almost every minute this season.

Decent mix of youth and experience, chance to get carroll fitter and scoring and see what Silva has.

Keep the likes of Anderson, Arnautovic on the bench ready to go.

Re: Team v Birmingham
We’re not going to go down I really don’t see the point of resting many players. I wouldn’t play antio at right back but I don’t think he will play Zabaleta twice in 3 days. Also you could play this front 4 in a number of different ways
——————Adrian
Antonio—ogbonna-Diop—cresswell
—————-NobleC)—Rice
Silva——-Anderson——Diangana
——————Arnie

Re: Team v Birmingham
I would say Coventry is a Noble type player but more mobile and Holland is a winger who usually plays on the left.

What sort of midfielders are Coventry and Holland? Defensive, attacking, left, right central?
Sorry for the ignorance.

We're so short on players that you are almost forced into playing one of them, especially if Antonio were to play at right back to give Zabaleta a bit of recovery time.

he's been training with the squad since november, what the fuck do they do in regard to fitness if he still isn't ready

'Last night Pellegrini said that Nasri can only play 15-20 minutes at the moment,'

Does that mean we only have to pay the cunt £15-20k per week at the moment?

There are actual people that want Perez or Carroll to play...or even both!!! FMOB’s

Should be enough to dispatch Brum at home. Gives a rest to those that need one but keeps them on hand if required. Holland I think was going to get his debut against Macclesfield in the league cup, but was injured so I would give him his opportunity now with Nasri to come on for the final 15-20 mins.

Would be nice to rest Diop but there aren't really any other options. Oxford has always looked dogshit at centre half and is probably on his way out anyway so wouldn't bother with him.

Re: Team v Birmingham
Carroll looks so off the pace. Why was he taken off at HT yesterday? He's meant to have been fit for months now, training every day.

If this is the fittest he's going to get then he is completely done as a top flight footballer. There's no point in playing him anymore, we may as well focus on getting the best out of Perez or Silva until the summer
